Sharp has revealed a 90-inch beast of a TV, which the Japanese company claims is the largest LED TV in the world.
The 90-inch Aquas LED TV is a whopping 4 feet tall, 8 feet diagonally and more than 6 feet and 8 inches wide. It has a depth of 5 inches, and weighs 141 pounds.
The TV’s tech is every bit as impressive as its vital statistics. It comes with Sharp’s SmartCentral service built-in, with apps for Netflix, YouTube and Hulu Plus, has a 3D-ready 1080p screen and ships with a pair of 3D glasses.
Hence, it’s no surprise that the size of the price tag is similarly eye-watering: this sucker costs $10,999.99, though will guarantee widespread envy amongst neighbors and friends.
In its official press release for the set, Sharp promises:
“The 90” AQUOS is the world’s largest LED TV. Its picture quality is as stunning as its size, displaying crisp and clear content at the highest HD resolution available of 1080p. Sit as close as you like, and see colors pop and never before seen details become visible. Sports and action sequences are as big as life.”
